Challenge International Airlines Second Officer

Miami, FL 1984-2001

Challenge International Airlines was the passenger division of Challenge Air Cargo. It started initially as a charter operator to Central and South America. Scheduled service was started in 1985. When United Parcel Service bought Challenge Air in 2001, they bought the name, trademark and the Latin American routes of Challenge Air Cargo. However, the aircraft were not included in the take-over and CAC's owner Peter Ulrich retained 3 DC-10-40F freighters and the FAA operating certificate. His new company was renamed Centurion Air Cargo.
